We promised we weren\u2019t going to buy each other anything because\u2026 well, we agree that Valentine\u2019s day is just another day\u2026 We try to show each other love all year long\u2026 we made plans, we got the kids small things to show them love. However, I still feel bad not doing the social norms like buying chocolates and roses or writing poems and going to a fancy-dressed dinner\u2026<\/p>\n

So these words are my roses and these thoughts are my chocolate\u2026.<\/p>\n

I hope they are enough to fill that beautiful heart until next year when we inevitably say we won\u2019t celebrate again\u2026.<\/p>\n

We wake up in the morning and I begin to peel you off\u2026<\/p>\n

cuddling all night as if you are afraid you won\u2019t have enough time\u2026<\/p>\n

Even though I leave now and then, it doesn\u2019t mean I enjoy being gone\u2026<\/p>\n

I step out the door and I know it\u2019s all for the best\u2026<\/p>\n

Immediately I am wishing to get back to that bed\u2026<\/p>\n

Our Circus\u2028<\/strong><\/p>\n

We manage the kids like a circus of warmth. Mom tames the girls\u2019 wild lion manes with her soothing demeanor, dad shines the boys\u2019 teeth getting them ready for battle\u2026<\/p>\n

We gather them into the carriage and they\u2019re off into the wild\u2026<\/p>\n

We pray we taught them enough to keep them safe \u2026 to keep them right\u2026\u2028We sit at home counting down the time until we receive them again\u2026<\/p>\n

We talk strategy and style\u2026 what works and what doesn\u2019t. How can we get them to perform at the highest of levels?<\/p>\n

We are the ring leaders of this amazing family circus\u2026<\/p>\n

You are the breeze that keeps them all at ease, and I am the fire that keep them on the move\u2026\u2028We are a team.<\/p>\n

Without you, there is no me\u2026<\/p>\n

Mission Complete<\/strong><\/p>\n

You gave me your life, and I\u2019ll forever repay it in happiness. With every bone and cell in my body, I\u2019ll always be dedicated to our family.\u2028 You have my soul at your fingertips. I am your puppet \u2026 on strings and at your beckoned call, not a slave to your wishes but a partner in crime.\u2028 You stole what was left of a heart and filled it with fire.\u2028 I\u2019ve felt alive again and have only one mission left in life: YOU<\/p>\n
